In this service, I help Adult Survivors of Child Sex Abuse to find self-acknowledgement of what happened to them. I help them remove and change the self-blame they may have from the abuse. Where their abuser made them believe it was their fault, as it was the abuser who took advantage of their vulnerability when they were a child.
I help them find the justice they may never have had for what happened to them all those years ago. I help them find the forgiveness they need for those who wronged them. The forgiveness is not for the abuser’s benefit; it is for their benefit. So, they let go of all the pain and suffering and all the resentment, anger, hatred and bitterness in their soul. If they do not forgive their abuser, then they are only harming themself because of how the abuse makes them feel deep inside.
Forgiveness does not mean they forget what happened, nor does it make it ok what their abuser did to them just because they forgive. It does not mean that their abuser deserves forgiveness, or that they would have the abuser back in their life if the abuser is not in their life currently. However, what it does mean is they let go of all the pain and suffering they have endured ever since what happened all those years ago.
Another part of the work involved is healing the abuse of trust, where the child trusted the adult. The way that abuser totally abused their position and betrayed and abused the trust that the child had in them. This is why forgiveness is a big part of the healing in this therapy.
This service is generally used to overcome childhood trauma. Where a trauma happened at a certain age in childhood that froze the person in time. For example, something may have happened at the age of 8 years old which froze them in time as an 8-year-old child. Meaning they carry it through to adulthood, and in certain ways, they can have the mentality of an 8-year-old.
In this service, hypnotherapy is used to connect with the inner child, perform self-parenting and heal the inner child. This form of inner child healing helps people move on and release their inner child that is holding them back in their adult life.
No matter what may have happened during childhood, I have a wide range of experiences as a hypnotherapist in Bournemouth to support survivors through childhood sexual abuse therapy. Using hypnotherapy, I help clients safely process trauma, release feelings of shame and guilt, and rebuild a healthier sense of self.
This specialist therapy combines clinical hypnotherapy with gentle healing techniques, offering survivors a way to let go of the heavy emotional burdens of abuse. Through guided sessions, clients can find closure, inner strength, and the ability to reclaim control of their lives.
Substance abuse and alcohol hypnotherapy are highly effective for those who turn to alcohol or drugs as a way of numbing emotional pain from childhood trauma. Many adults who have suffered abuse find that alcohol or substances act like a mental and emotional anaesthetic, but this coping mechanism can lead to dependency and further harm.
As an experienced hypnotherapist in Bournemouth, I use hypnotherapy to help clients address the root causes of their reliance on alcohol or substances. Through this tailored approach, clients can develop healthier coping strategies, reduce cravings, and regain emotional stability. Whether trauma is involved or not, substance abuse and alcohol hypnotherapy provide a powerful way to overcome addiction and begin long-lasting recovery.
